Little League goes above and beyond in maintaining a top-notch international program. With this stature, there are many strict guidelines and procedures we as a local league must follow to uphold Little League's integrity. The following is what you will need to provide in order to play with Louisa Little League.
1. Residency/School Attendance Eligibility
First, we must verify that the player's home address (or school address**) is located within boundaries of Louisa Little League. All you need to do is click this
League Finder link and type in the player's address. To view the boundary map, please click
HERE.
**In an effort to accommodate for Little Leaguers to play with their classmates, and ease the burden on parents and guardians, Little League has amended its residency requirements to allow children to play in the local league whose boundaries where they attend school is located. (Example - players residing in the Gordonsville Little League boundary but attending LCPS)After the address if verified, you must provide proof of the address to league officials at walk-in registration or evaluations. The proof of residency may be (1) a school enrollment form
OR (2) three proofs of residency. Details are spelled out in this
Proof of Residency Info Sheet. Louisa Little League prefers the
School Enrollment Form to meet this requirement, but either will be accepted. If using the school enrollment form, please complete the top section and our league will have LCPS complete the rest.
(Please note when completing the school enrollment form: League Name is Louisa Little League and League ID is 3461407; PeeWee is a division of Minor League and NOT TBALL.) 2. Original Birth Certificate
Second, we must verify the player's birth date by viewing the player's original birth certificate.
If you have misplaced your child's Birth Certificate you can now obtain at Vital Records at DMV.
These required documents can be shown at walk-in registration or evaluations. Walk-in registration is preferred.
